Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities
We are looking for a senior Java developer whose main responsibility is designing and developing IndiGO, a unique clinical decision support tool designed for use by physicians and other healthcare providers (nurses, care managers, health coaches) and patients.
IndiGO calculates and displays the risk a patient has of adverse events - such as heart attacks, strokes, and onset of diabetes. IndiGO then suggests and prioritizes the medications and/or lifestyle interventions that have the greatest impact on reducing that risk.
Our team members are bright, creative, quick-learning software developers experienced in technologies such as Java, J2EE, XML, Wicket and HTML. We are skilled at object-oriented design and demand well-designed, extensible, and reusable code. We formulate and articulate strong technical opinions while remaining open to the suggestions and experiences of others. We are seeking new developers who enjoy working on cutting-edge technology, and share our passion for quality software development.
Requirements:
- Candidates with a BS/MS (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field and exceptionally strong programming skills
- A minimum of 5 years development experience as well as previous Java and XML experience
- 5 – 7 years of Java development experience
- 5+ years of Java and J2EE web application architecture development (JSP, Servlets, XML, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in Object Oriented Design and use of Design Patterns
- Broad knowledge of the Java Platform with specialization in the creation of multi-tiered applications
- Experience with Eclipse or another Java IDE
- Experience in Wicket, Hibernate and PostgreSQL
- In-depth knowledge in Java technologies: J2EE, JSP, Servlets, XML, DOM/SAX, Camel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
